Service · Power and battery

Power from the sun, even when the grid is down.

A hybrid system uses power from the panels right away and stores the extra in batteries for the evening. When the grid goes down, the house keeps running. Solis 10 kW inverter and Dyness batteries.

How it works

It charges by day and supplies by night. The grid is the backup.

The inverter decides where the power comes from: the panels, the batteries or the grid.

  1. 01

    By day

The panels power the house. You use your own electricity.

  2. 02

    Extra power

Power the house does not use charges the batteries.

  3. 03

    In the evening

The house runs on the batteries instead of the grid.

  4. 04

    Grid outage

The inverter switches to the batteries and panels in under 10 ms.

  5. 05

    Monitoring

We have monitoring for every system we have installed, through the SolisCloud app.

In the system

Panels, inverter, batteries. Turnkey.

Dyness batteries

How many batteries you need depends on how much power you use in the evening and how long the house should run without the grid. We work this out in the quote.

Questions

Before you call.

Is your question not here? Call 063 368 341.

Does a hybrid system work during a power outage?

Yes. The inverter switches to the batteries and panels in under 10 ms, so the house keeps running.

How many batteries do I need?

It depends on how much power you use in the evening and how long the house should run without the grid. We work this out in the quote.

Do you have a single-phase inverter?

Yes, but it is rarely installed. Most often we install a three-phase 10 kW system.

What is the difference between a hybrid and an off-grid system?

A hybrid system is connected to the grid and has batteries. An off-grid system has no grid and runs only on panels and batteries.
