A heat pump on power from your roof.

A heat pump heats your house and water with heat from the air, and in summer it can also cool. With a solar power plant, it runs on electricity you produce yourself.

How it works

Heat from the air. Power from the panels.

The outdoor unit takes heat from the air, even when it is cold outside. The indoor unit passes it to the heating water and the water heater.

  1. 01

    Air

The outdoor unit takes heat from the air around the house.

  2. 02

    Heating

The heat goes to underfloor, wall or radiator heating.

  3. 03

    Hot water

The same pump also heats the water in the water heater.

  4. 04

    Cooling in summer

The system can also run in reverse and cool the house.

  5. 05

    Power from your solar plant

With a solar power plant, the pump uses power from your roof.

Together with a solar plant

The solar plant makes the power. The pump turns it into heat.

For every kilowatt of electricity, a heat pump usually gives three to four kilowatts of heat. When that power comes from your own solar plant, heating costs even less.

One system for electricity, heating and hot water.

The photo shows a boiler room we fitted out: a heat pump, a water heater and a hybrid inverter with batteries in the same room. The panels on the roof make the power, and the pump uses it to heat the house and the water.

We can also connect the heat pump to an existing boiler or to solar collectors, so each source runs when it is cheapest.

Questions

Before you call.

Is your question not here? Call 063 368 341.

What is a heat pump?

A device that takes heat from the outside air and passes it to the water for heating and hot water. In summer it can also cool.

How much electricity does it use?

For every kilowatt of electricity, a heat pump usually gives three to four kilowatts of heat. The exact ratio depends on the model and the outside temperature.

Can it run on power from my solar plant?

Yes. If you have a solar power plant, the heat pump uses power from your roof, so you pay even less for heating.

Does it work with radiators?

It works best with underfloor and wall heating. It can work with radiators, but we check that in the quote, based on the size of the radiators and the house.

Are there subsidies for heat pumps?

Heat pumps are often part of the energy renovation program. Whether the measure is open in your town is stated in your municipality's public call.
